The registration fee is supposed to be a base that can be won back. The registration fee has to be paid only once for a dance school. The fee has to be paid only in the professional and nivo category.

There is no age restriction in this category.

Competitors can enter only in ADULT and FORMATION SHOW categories in ‘NIVO’ category.

The use of tools and props on stage is permitted.

An Internet voting accreditation procedure is necessary to enter the ‘NIVO’ category.

Maximum 10 dance schools/studios can qualify through the voting system. The organiser body can let 3 more dance schools/studios enter the competition with a ‘green card’. Dance schools/studios with enough votes can enter the competition but it is not obligatory for them. The dance school/studio with the second most votes can qualify automatically. Maximum 13 dance schools/studios have to confirm their entry intention through the website before deadline.

Note:

– 1 formation can enter 1 competition with the same competitors, that is to say they cannot compete against themselves with a different choreography. The same dance school/studio can still enter with another formation in the same category and it is permitted to have dancers who participate in both formations. However, it cannot influence the order of category (e.g. getting changed or any results of it cannot delay the order of the competition.)

– In Amateur and Professional categories an average age has to be calculated in case of groups and formations. In case of Nivo category there is no age restriction, however, the time in minutes is different comparing to the Amateur and Professional category.

– No tools or props are allowed to be used in Amateur and Professional categories!

REMUNERATIONS, gratuities 

AMATEUR category

  • All competitors finishing on the podium get a medal; their dance school/studio gets a certificate and a cup in all age groups in Group and Formation categories

  • All competitors finishing on the podium get a medal and a certificate in solo and duet category in all age groups and rankings

  • There is no money price in this category

  • In the amateur category the contestants are going to get medals and certificates for all ages if they reach the three best places during the competition.
  • In the group and formation category the best three group/formation are going to be rewarded with a dancer medal and the dance school are going to get a certification and chalice as well.
  • This category the winners are not going to get gratuities.

PROFESSIONAL category

  • There is money price only in Adult category

  • The category of “choreo solo” and “one style solo” winners are going to get HUF 10.000 of prize money

  • The winner of the category “Be Free” is going to get HUF 25.000 of prize money.
  • In the category of junior “professional” the solo and the duo contestants are going to be rewarded with a medal and a certificate in the three best places.
  • In the junior “professional” groups and formations category the contestants at the fist three places are going to get a medal and the dance school is going to be rewarded with a certificate a cup and HUF 25.000 of prize money.
  • In the category of adult “professional” duo, every member of the duo on the first 3 places are going to get a medal and a certificate as well.
  • In the adult “professional” group category the groups members at the first three places are going to get a medal and the dance school is going be rewarded with a certificate and cup and the winner group is going to get HUF 25.000 of prize money.
  • In the adult “professional” formation category the members of the team at the first 3 places are going to school is going to be rewarded with HUF 25.000 of prize money.

NIVO category

  • The formations in the “nivo” category at the first 3 places are going to be rewarded with 1-1 certificate and 1-1 cup.
  • There is no medal given in this category.
  • The winner dance school is going to win HUF 100.000 of prize money.
  • Competitors can enter the “nivo” category only in adult age group and only in formation show category if the dance school/studio has qualified into the TOP 10 through the Internet voting system.
  • Qualification is only an opportunity and it is not obligatory. In case a dance school/studio qualified before the end of the deadline, however, they do not intend to enter in this category, the dance school/studio with the second most voting is to qualify. Entry conditions considering the “nivo” category is the same.
  • Formations can re-enter in this category which the judges have seen in amateur and professional categories. It is not necessary that they will compete against the same dance schools/studios. Number of the competitors or the music can be different as well as any kind of a completion or dress change is permitted considering these performances.
  • Fusion Dance Contest (the organiser body) can qualify 3 more dance schools/studios as well.
  • Time in minutes considering this category is different from the other categories.
  • There is no age restriction and tools and props are allowed to be used. The judges watch and score the production considering every little detail.
  • Tools and props are permitted to be used in this category.

NOTE:

It is not evidential that e.g. the dance school/formation which wins the category they entered in amateur or professional category will win the ‘nivo’ category or finish on the podium. The productions have to be developed more precisely in accordance with the style of this category since its regulation is different from the others’ and the money award is the highest in this category.

Details of creativity are really important in this category! You have to make something big considering the editing of the music, general impression, costumes, square shapes, or the message of the production. Freedom of creativity is the goal of this category. The production does not need to have a message, however, if the choreographer wants to express him/herself that way, it is permitted, even recommended in this category.

Professional training sessions:

  • Professional training sessions and courses are to be found in the B room during the event.
  • There are 10 courses available during 2 days between 10.00am and 4.00pm
  • Entry fees to the courses can be purchased at the reception

DEFINITION OF HIPHOP DANCE TYPE, and all dance styles belonging to this category:

Hip-hop based dances enriched with spectacular show elements, well designed, creative choreographies performed with modern music (hip-hop, R&B, Trap, etc.). (Street dance, L.A. new stlye, popping, locking, voguing, waacking, krumping, hip-hop, ragga/raggaeton, girly, Bboying/bgirling (break), video clip, club dances belong to this category.)

The aim of FUSION DANCE CONTEST:

Another aim of the competition is to provide professional training for the coaches and dancers besides participating in the competition. These sessions of training are represented by significant Hungarian and foreign performers on stages built for the occasions during the whole period of the contest taking place in the B place.

STAGE AND TECHNICAL DETAILS:

STAGE:

12x10m black colour plastic surface covered with a ballet carpet.

 

LIGHTING:

Use of colourful robotic lamps with the help of a light bridge, which functioning as a décor tool as well, is provided. The whole dance area is lit with it.

SOUNDING:

Professional sound system techniques considering the acoustic facilities of the sports hall are provided.

STAGE MANAGER AND MASTER OF CEREMONY:

The Master of Ceremony will help with the coordination of the competitors. It is his/her duty to announce all the groups coming to the stage. We will show them with the help of the visual technical tools on the stage.

(Skills of performance, stage presence, use of mimics/gestures, expressing emotions, unique, new and unexpected solutions, shapes, forms created during the performance)

(Transitions between movements, uniqueness, newness, difficulty of combinations, individual style elements)

  1. ARTISTIC EFFECTS (1-10 points)

(Considering the artistic activity there is no uniform definition accepted by everybody, however, the performance must provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience)

  1. SYNCHRONITY (1-10 points)

(Synchronised movements carried out in a precise and harmonic way)

  1. CLOTHING (1-10 points)

(Unique appearance, attitude, clothing must be in harmony with the production and the music, characteristic clothing of the street dance style, clothing must be characteristic of the message of the production)


NOTICE OF THE ORGANISERS, OTHER INFORMATION: 

‘Fusion Dance Contest’ is organised by the AForce1 Dance and Sport Association that is the Aforce1 TSE Hungary, run by Németh Ádám. None of his competitors can enter the competition. They can participate in the training courses with a viewer/course ticket and they can be present as performers or organisers only.
